It is important to understand that this war is a war against Amalek. Amalek is any nation that kills Jews because they hate us simply for being Jewish. These terrorists are Amalek and must be eliminated! That is why there is a mitzvah in the Torah to remember what Amalek did to us and to destroy Amalek completely.
But this war is fought on two fronts: one is the physical war to actually go and eliminate all the terrorists and their infrastructures.
It is also fought on a spiritual front. Spiritually Amalek is doubt. The terrorists want to put seeds of doubt and fear into us. They make us question and worry and have anxiety. This is the inner Amalek.
So while the brave soldiers are fighting on the front lines in Israel, each and every one of us must fight the spiritual war to get rid of Amalek. This is the entire story of Purim. Haman harasha also came from Amalek. He wanted to annihilate all the Jews, men , women and children. But Hashem turned the whole thing around . So may it be now that we will be victorious in this war and destroy Amalek completely.
We must do our part to keep boosting the emuna and btochon of our families and all those around us. We must constantly anticipate the coming of Moshiach. As we strengthen our btochon, we also help the Israeli soldiers to have strength and go forward to victory. We are all connected. We must not give in to the fear that these evil terrorists wish to instill. Hashem is with us. WE must silence those doubts that creep into our minds and simply overcome them and trust in Hashem and continuously pray and say Tehillim and learn more Torah. This is how we fight the battle on the spiritual front.
May we be successful in this war and may we see the coming of Moshiach immediately.
