BIRTH PANGS OF MOSHIACH

We are now in the times of what is called the birth pangs of Moshiach. This is a very difficult time for the Jewish people but in order to get through these times we must cleave to the Tzadik, to the Rebbe, and find inspiration for our faith.

Moshiach will usher in a new world order.  But in order for there to be something new, the old has to collapse or be destroyed in some way. In order to make room for the third and final Beit hamikdash, there had to be a destruction of the previous two holy Temples.

The state of Israel cannot continue the way it is. There needs to be a change. There needs to be a new world order which will be run according to Torah and truth.  For this to happen, there is a transition phase, similar to the transition phase before a baby is born. It is the most intense but it is also a sign of imminent birth (redemption). We need to give birth to a new world. This is the era of Moshiach. The process is not easy.  But by retaining our faith and doing what God wants, it can all be with greater mercy and ease.

When King Saul, the first King of Israel, was anointed by the Tzadik at that time, Shmuel hanavi, he did not fulfill properly what he was supposed to do. Therefore, the kingdom was taken away from him and it went back to Shmuel who then anointed David as the new King of Israel. But the period of time when David went through great suffering and running away from Saul etc. was the time of transition from one kingdom to the next.  It is similar to the birth pangs of Moshiach.  But after that David took over and gave birth to a new kingdom.

WE will see the same process now as we give birth to the new kingdom of Moshiach, may it be speedily and with kindness and mercy for all the Jewish nation.
